Computer connected to the Internet must use TCP/IP to communicate with each other network in the internet. The two part of TCP/IP perform different function : TCP is respinsrespfir tye integraty of the information as it is moved along the internet. TCP check for error or missing parts . While IP is responsible for the delivery of the information to the correct destination . It controls the system of addressing need in the internet. Every machine on the internet must have a unique IP address.
How information move ls on the internet
First, the information is broken own into small pieces known as packets . A device on each network ,is called the IP router checks the IP address of the destination and decide where to send each packets since the probably is not a direct line between the source and the destination ,the router usaully sends the packets to another router along the way the router does not always send all the packets along the same route. Routers along the way continue to pass packets along. TCP checks them ,and they reassembled into their original form.
Electronic mail (email)
This is the premier internet tool . It means electronic mail ; a system by which mails are sent and received electronucally by means of computers . It is the most popular and the most useful internet service. You cannot send parcel ir bomb vua the email.
More people use email on any given day than any other internet internet service. An example of an email address is mikelongji@gmail.com if Mike longji is the user name while Gmail is domain name the @ sign separate the user name from the domains name. You can send email between email services.

The world wide web (www) is the latest fad on the internet. This has updated the internet from a simple collection of p.o boxes into a huge conglomerate of pssudo-Tv show called" WEB PAGES" on a web page you can point and click at various icons to see and hear defferend things. A world wide web is simply a document to dish out information,be it text and ohito sound /videos. It is simply telling your computer to connect to one containing certian information and you can start pointing and clicking on the web page. It is possible to move from one page to another called "WEB SURFING".
A web page is like a Windows; you can click on various parts to make things happen .
A typical web address is given thus ; https://www.microsoft.com. The second part is the internet address of the server . But often there is more after the address on tge server ,as in this example:
Https://www.yahoo.com/text/suggest.html. the /text/ describes the directory structure. Suggest. Html is the name of the web page itself that is the file name suggest.html is located in the text subdirectory on the web server named www in the Yahoo .com domain . Https is the protocol of the server you are trying to contact uses ,it is a native protocol of the web.
